"Watch demos — that’s our game analysis. No practice base, we just grind together," – Skrim
— How did you guys end up on the same team, and how did you discover BIGPLAY?
Skrim: We met through mutual friends back when we were grinding commercial tournaments and reshuffling rosters, trying to see who was free and who we could test. That’s how we built this lineup — our characters and expectations just clicked. We’d known about the platform since the days of Big Drafts, but in June 2023 our manager suggested trying it out, saying the prize pool was solid and the competition would be worth it.
— How do you prepare for tournaments and balance the grind with IRL commitments?
Skrim: We analyze our games and rewatch demos. We don’t really have a “practice base” — we just play together, while each of us individually works on improving our own gameplay. Straight from the factory job, I kick off my boots and jump right into practice.
— Which match stands out the most from all your time together?
Skrim: The latest BPL finals against Turkish teams — which we won.
Stacked lobbies, insane late games, every round 10+ kills and 76 points total. So many clutches and fights — and we came out on top in all of them.
— If you could pick one CIS player to join your stack, who would it be, and who would you kick for him?
Skrim: At this point, we’ve gone through a lot together. We split and rebuilt more than once, with new goals and motivations each time. Right now, I believe in every single one of my teammates and wouldn’t swap anyone. As captain, I could invite players if I wanted, but at this stage I don’t see the need — I believe we can achieve success with this lineup, even if it takes time and a lot of nerves.
Genialen: I’d consider strengthening our roster by bringing in Wonder — a talent well-respected in the scene. His game sense and experience on big teams make him an appealing candidate. If that happened, I’d have to drop Tinka, since he often misses sessions due to work commitments.
— What do you like about BIGPLAY as players?
Skrim: The platform provides solid conditions: convenient rules, competitive lobbies, detailed leaderboards and rankings for both seasons and weekly play. They also run individual player ratings and highlight top performers on their channels, which really helps with visibility.
Genialen: For many teams, BIGPLAY is a springboard — a place to grow and get noticed, both for individuals and full rosters. It’s rare to find a platform with this frequency of tournaments and, importantly, finals with fair zones that let teams show their best game.
— Do you have short-term goals you’re aiming for?
Skrim: We haven’t been together that long, but we’ve already analyzed our plays and built a team hierarchy. Right now, our target is at least reaching the PMCO semifinals.
Genialen: Our goal is to show our absolute best in the official match ahead. We’ve been preparing hard, and we’ll do everything we can to deliver a strong result.
— In your opinion, are there CIS teams that “make more noise” than they actually perform?
Skrim: If a team qualifies for official tournaments and shows results, it’s not fair to underestimate them without knowing the work behind the scenes. Every team and player grinds for the same goal. Sure, in our region people might seem more casual compared to others, but only the strongest teams make it to the official stage.
— Describe your team in a final-circle situation.
Skrim: The late game is the key focus for us. Sometimes we desync in our actions, and sometimes we get too emotional when we throw what felt like a winning situation. But emotions give way to awareness — we go back, analyze mistakes, and fix them.
— Which top team would you like to play for? Or, build your CIS dream team.
Skrim: I’d want to play for a team that wins. My dream stack would be: Flexa, Wonder, Magicman, Remind, Velu, Fresh.
Genialen: My dream team: Sharley, shaze, vikis, Tamila.
— Name one team you’d never give up a spot to in a tournament.
Skrim: JDH — they’re absolute pests on contest drops.
Genialen: Nervous Team — mainly because of disagreements with BETS.
— Anything you’d like to add?
Skrim: I’d like to see CA play separately and not get so many LAN slots. More online qualifiers would also be great, with bigger prize pools — at least once a month.
Genialen: Shoutout to Wonder, SHARLEY, and Flexa. Hope they never play the game again. :)
