INSILIO at the LAN: An Interview

3TN | Team IGL

Esports in Kazakhstan continues to evolve, and INSILIO is a shining example of this progress. These talented players have made a name for themselves on the global stage by competing at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC). After navigating the incredibly challenging World Tour qualification, INSILIO has secured a coveted spot in the Grand Finals — a remarkable achievement for the team.

We had the chance to speak with Yerbol "3TN" Ykylyasov, the captain of INSILIO, to learn how the team overcame challenges at the LAN tournament, their emotions upon qualifying for the finals, and their expectations for the decisive matches.

Q&A with 3TN

1. What qualities are essential to becoming a successful team captain at tournaments?
To be a good captain, you need qualities like responsibility, the ability to make the right decisions, and maintaining and supporting team spirit. You also need to be decisive, confident, and brave.

2. What can you say about WESTRON? He’s a young player with no global experience but delivers incredible results.
WESTRON is an excellent player, a solid fragger, and a young talent from Kazakhstan. I’d say he’s undoubtedly the #1 fragger in all of Kazakhstan.

3. How do you plan to execute your gameplay in the Survival Stage, and what was lacking during the Group Stage
?During the Group Stage, we lacked experience. On top of that, we played from unfamiliar positions and zones on the map. For the Survival Stage, we don’t plan to change our gameplay and believe we’ll deliver great results.

4. Were you surprised by Na’Vi’s performance? Did you expect such a strong showing? How do you think they adapted so quickly to PMGC after all their challenges?
Yes, I was surprised by Na’Vi’s performance, but I expected them to play well because they have a lot of experience and have participated in many LAN tournaments before.

5. What are your predictions for Group Green at PMGC?
My predictions for Group Green are DK, Brute Force, and 4M.

6. Which amateur players and teams do you think have the potential to reach the pro scene?
From the CIS region, I’d highlight NLO and 27 PLUS as teams. As for individual players, I’d say ERGAON, as he has shown excellent personal results in amateur tournaments.
