— Tell us about the formation of V1OLENT. How did you get into BIGPLAY tournaments?

Fade: Honestly, I don’t know much about how the team was formed. KEKS1K invited me about a month ago to be the captain. I, in turn, invited Apple. That made a roster of the three of us plus Fronzes and Noet. I’ve been playing on BIGPLAY for a long time. I don’t even remember who told me about it first, but I think the manager was the one who registered us.

— Does your team struggle to balance between gaming sessions and real life?

Fade: Right now, I’m not working, so I survive on prize money. Because of that, my favorite dish is pasta — I know every recipe. I also combine it with studying, but studies don’t really interfere with the game. I try to pass everything automatically and skip classes — it works.

Fronzes: For me, it’s not really a problem. Apart from studying, I don’t have other things going on, so I manage everything just fine.

— What aspects do you like about the BIGPLAY platform?

Fade: I like that there are player and team rankings here — it helps them build up their media presence. I also like the consistency of the tournaments.

Fronzes: Weekly tournaments are great. The overall player and team ranking across all tournaments is very motivating.

— What do you think about the future of PUBG Mobile in the CIS region?

Fade: Today there was news that Russian players might be blocked, so it’s not clear what will happen next. I just hope we won’t have to play PUBG with a VPN. But if we ignore that, the CIS region is developing. When I started playing, there weren’t so many tournaments or such prize pools, and they grow every year.

— Are there any teams or players you’d like to play with?

Fronzes: APG, Amix, dg — I like these rosters the most. They have strong mechanical players, and I like their gameplay overall.

Fade: If I had to choose a team, it would be Team Spirit. I’d like to play with Sergey (Kitsune) — he’s my idol, and I think he’s the number one captain. There’s also Knowme in that stack, he’s better than me, so I look up to him. If I were to build my own team, Kitsune would 100% be in it.

— In your opinion, are there players who made it to the pro level purely by luck?

Fade: Players who qualified fairly already deserve to play. There’s always luck in it — the stronger ones get lucky. If I had to name someone, I’d mention Moneyken. He makes it through on luck, and I criticize bots like that.

Fronzes: I’m a kind person, and I don’t remember any rosters at the pro level that got there purely by chance.

— What’s more important to you — confidently holding a high placement with a safe playstyle, or diving into fights and farming frag points?

Fronzes: I prefer aggressive gameplay — pulling up to fights rather than waiting for the last timing to move into zone.

Fade: If it’s about fighting your way into top-1, then it’s worth the risk. But if it’s mindless fights, I’d rather stay hungry. Still, for an MVP, of course, you can drive in solo — farm and even feed.

— What worries you the most about the PUBG Mobile Club Open qualifiers?

Fronzes: The hardest thing is TeamSpeak. Since it’s banned at PMCO, and the in-game mic in PUBG Mobile often bugs out, you end up just vibing there and can’t give info to teammates.

— Who’s the most toxic player you’ve encountered in the community?

Fronzes: For me, the most toxic player was Mylinga. But now, I don’t know — maybe these days he’s turned nice.

Fade: I played PMCO in an EU roster, and one guy there couldn’t handle his emotions at all. He screamed like crazy, spoke so fast you couldn’t understand him. After that, I can say he’s the most inadequate person I’ve ever played with.

— At the BPL finals, which team would you never give your spot to or would aggressively push against?

Fade: BOARS ACADEMY — they’re worthy opponents, so we’d contest them. The others aren’t that interesting, and we don’t really cross paths with them.

Fronzes: I would never give my spot to DANGER ESPORTS or GAME POINT ESPORTS for animal abuse.

— In the worst-case scenario, if you didn’t have access to the game, would you switch to another discipline or try to bypass the restrictions?

Fade: I’d move, change regions if necessary. Esports is my priority.

Fronzes: If playing with VPN had no ping issues, I’d stay. But otherwise, I’d probably fully dive into real life and leave esports behind.
