“I want our teams to finally get their act together.” KIPPABOSS on the lack of seriousness among pro and amateur teams at tournaments

Interview with the BPL S10 finalists

– How did your journey begin with this exact roster? How did you meet?

KIPPABOSS: You could say we met unexpectedly. I was already thinking about fully switching to media — before any offers or offline tournaments. I understood I didn’t want to stay AFK, but at that moment there didn’t seem to be another way. And then “Zinochka,” the CEO of PMCS, contacted me with a good opportunity and an offer.

– Is there an opponent on the local scene you always play extra focused against, and why?

MED: MADBULLS — a very strong team with championship-level players. Tulike and Pusher were really lucky to pick up such a powerful duo in our community as Limon and Flip — “an insanely strong combo, I always look up to them.”

KIPPABOSS: Honestly, for every player and every team there’s the same main opponent — themselves. The one who makes fewer mistakes wins. Of course, those with more experience just make those mistakes much less often. For us, our opponent right now is our own mistakes.

– How hard is it to play in BPL against teams with international experience or big achievements?

MATVIC: Probably not hard at all. During matches you don’t really think about it — about which teams are in the lobby or specific players. The only place you need to pay attention to that is the kill chat. Because all your focus is on your own game, not on what others are doing in the lobby.

FUY3U: It’s pretty difficult to play against them because they have a lot of experience and very coordinated team comms.

KIPPABOSS: It’s hard mostly because of their confidence and how decisive they play. They’re not afraid to make mistakes — and they make them much less often than amateur teams.

If you had to change one thing in the current meta, what would it be?

KIPPABOSS: I’d change the fact that I get one-tapped from 50 meters by a shotgun.

MED: Bring back the old recoil and damage on weapons, plus buff SMG damage. Shotguns should stay the way they are now in patch 4.2.

MATVIC: We need to increase the spread of AR weapons, because every second player can full-spray with perfect accuracy at 300 meters without any effort. Also, reduce shotgun damage at range to the minimum.

– How would you rate your performance in BPL Season 10? Did it feel like you were improving during the season?

KIPPABOSS: We’re confidently climbing the rankings. I only see progress, and I’m proud of my team and their efforts!

MED: If my rating hadn’t been at rock bottom at the start, I would’ve made top much earlier — which my guys are showing right now. The most important thing is consistency.

– Are there any specific players or teams that inspire you?

KIPPABOSS: Yes, I love watching SASAVOT play CS2 with his party. I look up to them.

FUY3U: GOAT TEAM — they formed relatively recently and immediately proved themselves on the world stage.

MED: Definitely MADBULLS. I’m still amazed how players with such insane aura managed to stack together and build crazy synergy.

– The closed finals are very soon — are you going for the win, or focusing on stable and достой performance?

MED: The most important thing is the atmosphere inside the team. If everything is built on understanding and mutual support — that’s a WW!

KIPPABOSS: In every match we’re aiming to win and doing everything to achieve that goal, but it doesn’t always work out exactly that way.

– Finally, would you like to add anything?

KIPPABOSS: I want our teams to finally get their act together and start playing tournaments productively — both pro and amateur teams. Right now, honestly, I can only point out a couple of teams that take tournaments seriously and play to win. Other than that, I can only wish everyone motivation and productive self-improvement — both in real life and in the game.

MED: Build your media presence — it will become your safety cushion. You’re not Limon.
