7 Questions with Pro Player STAR

1. Individual performance and tournament results

Q: 16 eliminations — exactly half of ARCRED's total kills, an individual MVP award, and a fourth-place finish for the team. How would you assess this final? Which of your plays contributed the most to the team, and what opportunities did you fail to convert into results?

A: I think we underperformed a little throughout the tournament. There were several matches where we went out almost without putting up a fight, and those were exactly the points we ended up missing. One positive moment was on Erangel, where we played around RB with Passik and managed to earn a lot of additional points through smart rotations and efficient kill farming. However, at one point I got knocked and finished, so we couldn't fully capitalize on the situation. Overall, I believe we could have performed better and finished higher.

2. Miramar setback and adjustments

Q: After securing 12 team eliminations on the first Erangel, you were eliminated early on Miramar in a fight against GR. What went wrong at the start of the second map? How did you review that situation between matches, and what adjustments did you make heading into Rondo?

A: Our initial drop on Miramar didn't go as planned, which forced us to contest another team's spot. We also didn't execute the fight particularly well and were eliminated quickly. Between matches, we decided not to dwell too much on that mistake. We accepted what happened, maintained a positive mindset, and went into Rondo without making any major changes to our game plan.

3. Missed WWCD opportunity

Q: In the final moments of the second Erangel, ARCRED still had three players alive against Lemon and FLIP, but MadBulls secured the WWCD. Where did you lose your advantage? If you could replay those final seconds, what decision would you change?

A: By that point, I was already spectating, so I couldn't directly influence the outcome. From what I saw, my teammates had a slight misunderstanding during the final moments, and we failed to execute the situation properly. I think we lacked clear communication and coordination. Moments like these have an especially significant impact on the result at the end of a match.

4. Double knock against Dagestan77

Q: On the final Miramar, you quickly secured two knocks during the fight against Dagestan77, a play that the casters specifically highlighted. How did you read your opponents' positioning, and what allowed you to switch between targets so quickly? Was it a pre-planned play or a decision made on the spot?

A: Initially, I dealt damage to the player farther away, leaving him with very little HP. Then I tagged the closer opponent and decided to quickly change my target priority: jump out, finish the distant player, and immediately switch to the closer one. It was a deliberate decision based on the situation, not a random play. In the end, everything worked out exactly as I had planned. I managed to capitalize on the advantage quickly and win the fight.

5. Strategy for the final match

Q: Before the final map, you still had a chance to fight for a higher position in the standings, so you started actively looking for engagements. What was your game plan? How many points were you aiming for, and what risks were you willing to take? At what point did the plan stop working?

A: Before the final map, we knew we still had a chance to finish higher, so we were ready to take more fights. However, we lost one player during an engagement with DG and then decided to take control of the center of the zone, where CH also arrived at the same time.

Based on the information we had, we believed we had already finished all the opponents, but one player managed to revive his teammate, which ultimately affected the outcome of the fight. In that situation, we needed to track the enemy players more carefully and make sure the fight was truly over before making our next decision.
